As Alm Yacht Builders, we not only dream, but also make it real! We produce steel yachts from 10 meters to 30 meters. We offer optimum comfort and lengths that are synonymous with a timeless, but always distinctive character.
We embrace quality as a tradition. On 1 October 1977 in Nieuwendijk, water sports enthusiast Cees van Maastricht decided to try his luck at independence together with his friend Chris Dolislager. His hobby turned into a real job in the 12 x 9 meter concrete shed next to his house.
In the early years, he was inspired by Alm, from whom he built every ship. His partners did their part by organizing the management and accounting required for the business. As the number of commissions increased steadily, a second boat shed had to be built at short notice. In 1987 they moved their business operations to Beatrixhaven in Werkendam. However, the continued growth of the business once again exceeded the capacity of the existing premises and in 1999 a further move took the business to new and larger premises in Steurgat.
In the process, the next generation took the reins and management of the business was taken over by Arie Pruissen, together with Cees’ son, Jacco van Maastricht.
